Questions & answers
What is free, and what does Premium add?
The free version includes drawing, basic recording and five usable saved traces. Premium aligns your drawings with roads and paths, lets you follow transferred routes on Apple Watch, customize the information on your Watch and save unlimited traces.
Is Premium a subscription?
No. Premium is a one-time purchase. You can start a 15-day trial whenever you choose, and nothing is charged when it ends.
Which devices does Tracé work on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later, and Apple Watch with watchOS 10 or later, paired with your iPhone.
Does it work without a network connection?
Your route, your position and your recording come from GPS, so they keep working without a network, on iPhone and on Apple Watch. Maps, road data for snapping and elevation are loaded from online services and may need a connection.
Can I use routes from other apps?
Yes. Import GPX files into your library, and export any trace as GPX to use it elsewhere.
Do I need an account? Where are my routes stored?
No account is needed. Your trace library is stored on your devices. Our privacy policy explains which online services the maps and elevation use.
